Publication transparency

Why independent review remains useful

AI systems materially assisted knowledge consolidation, drafting, review support and visual production. Those systems are not accountable human reviewers.

Internal technical, visual, security and accessibility controls are complete, and the publication was approved by its human author. Independent technical, domain and developmental editorial review remains open as continuing research, not as a release blocker. Submissions are assessed by the authorised owner before accepted findings enter the publication-assurance record.

Privacy notice

Your review is used only for publication assurance.

We collect the identity and contact details you provide, your competence and conflict statements, review scope, ratings and findings. The purpose is to authenticate, assess, disposition and retain review evidence for the CCE publication programme. Reviews are not published without separate permission. Do not include confidential, special-category or third-party personal data.

Lawful basis: Article 6(1)(f) GDPR – legitimate interests. The controller has a legitimate interest in obtaining independent, competent human review of the AI-assisted book in order to complete Gate 6 (publication assurance), verify quality, clarity, proportionality of claims and accountability of the published work.
Retention: Rejected submissions: retained for up to 12 months after the assessment decision (or until Gate 6 is closed, whichever is earlier) for accountability and possible clarification. Accepted submissions and Gate 6 records: retained for the commercial life of the edition plus 5 years, or longer if needed to demonstrate the independent-review process. Security and access logs: retained in accordance with the hosting provider’s standard retention (typically 12–24 months) or as required for security and legal compliance.
